PART 1 – It’s Been 7 Months Already?

Hello everybody! Welcome to the June blog update for It’s A Trapp Productions.comThe Youtube Channelsocial media, and the Ko-Fi page!

This will also be a recorded video that will be posted on all of my platforms!

So…first of all, I have to apologize. I was supposed to provide monthly updates. But I let time pass by because I was ashamed of not making any progress. I didn’t start actively working on learning Blender 3D until March of this year, 2025.

And although I haven’t advanced as far as I wanted to, I at least have something to show for my work. I now have a basic understanding of rigging a 3D model and doing basic movements with it, such as posing, and a simple run cycle animation.

I’ve had a blast live streaming my efforts to learn Blender, and I will continue to do so as much as I can. It’s such a joy to have my viewers and friends come along with me as I figure out this art that I assumed I would never be intelligent enough to figure out.

I’m very grateful to the website Udemy and GamdeDev.TV for providing the tutorials and lessons on Blender that’s brought me from not knowing how to do anything to taking these first steps into a larger world.

PART 2 – UPDATES…OR LACK THEREOF

So in my December 2024 update and relaunch of my site I spoke about 3 projects I said I was actively working on. I can tell you right now that there hasn’t been much progress on them, and that disappointing news is definitely my fault. As usual I can be very scatter brained about things, and maybe speak about projects prematurely.

But allow me to list what’s happening with the three projects at this point in time.

1 – The Ninja Steve Reboot. I can confirm that my writing partner, Mr. Dexter D. Lopez, and I continue to meet together to discuss and write how a particular episode should go. Most of it is me telling Dexter my ideas, I ask for his input, and then we write things down. It’s always a great time when we meet up, and I can say that these story summaries would not be nearly as good as they are without his help. Consider subscribing to his channels! I’ll provide the links in the appropriate spots.

2 – The Comic Book project with Alpha Proto. Sadly this has not progressed much at all, besides some fantastic character artwork by Alpha Proto himself. Until some significant progress is made on this project, I won’t be mentioning any new updates on it until more work has been done.

3 – The Original Novel project. This one is like the comic book project. Not much I can say right now. Other than I might get another talented friend of mine to help me write it.

PART 3 – SO WHAT DID YOU DO?!

One thing that I did that I am happy to talk about is the launch of my gaming channel, It’s A Trapp Plays. I eventually came to the conclusion that I can’t have all the content that I’m interested in making, be under one channel. So I rebranded It’s A Trapp Productions as a channel only for new animation and original videos. Meanwhile It’s A Trapp Plays now hosts my gaming live streams, new lets plays, and short clips from past streams.

One thing I’ve noticed since rebranding It’s A Trapp Productions into an animation only channel, and chronicling my journey to learn Blender, is a slow but steady uptick in subscribers. I guess the algorithm isn’t confused anymore about what my Productions channel is meant to be.

It’s a little bit of work managing 2 channels, but so far its been a worthwhile endeavor. I still enjoy gaming, but my first love will always be creativity. It’s just nice to be able to enjoy both and maybe be rewarded for it.

So be sure to subscribe to It’s A Trapp Plays for all of my gaming related content, let’s plays, live streams, and short clips of silly moments!

You all also might have noticed the donation goal I have set up and displayed on my live streams to put a down payment on a car. I’m so grateful and thankful to everyone who has donated to that goal. I’m also saving up each month from my job as being a caregiver for my disabled mother.

Together we’ll reach the goal of $3000 in either November or December at the current rate that things are going. If you want to donate, visit the Ko‑fi page link that I’ll provide as well. Or you can always donate live whenever I’m streaming so I can see your donation in real time.

It’s hard to believe we’re already 6 months into 2025. Harder still to believe that my YouTube channel has been around for 9 years. Time really does fly by, even when we think its standing still.

Well that’s everything I can tell you guys about for now. I appreciate you watching, listening, or even reading this update depending on where you’re seeing this. I hope next month I can show you more progress on my Blender 3D journey, and maybe a small update on something else I have cooking up!

Thank you for being here, thank you for watching, reading, supporting, and giving me a chance to entertain and inform. Until next time, let’s make our dreams a reality!

Oh and shout outs to my YouTube channel Members – Dani PlaysShweebe, and Mitchie Hano! And shout outs to everyone who pays to subscribe to me on Twitch! I’ll post a list as the video/blog entry ends!

So…the end!
